Family Programs: Leaf Skeletons and Candle Making

10:30am – Leaf Skeletons: Learn about the importance of tree leaves and use them to identify trees around you. Create a work of art by turning an ordinary leaf into a leaf skeleton work of art.
2pm – Candle Making: Explore the science and craft behind this ancient light source, and make your very own candle to illuminate the holidays.

1pm Marker Bots
Harness the forces of electricity and magnetism to create hands-free art
designs. Construct a motor powered sketch machine with a mind of its own.
2pm Catapult Challenge
Build a marshmallow firing catapult and compete in two contests – target accuracy and fastest to destroy a cardboard wall.
