Remember Chicago, 1968? Tens of thousands of anti-war protesters stormed the Democratic convention, setting off a chain of explosive and violent confrontations with the police. Well, now history has a new look.
Join us for this bold and original animation that recreates the wild antics of the infamous Chicago Conspiracy Trial and features archival footage and a powerful soundtrack will take you back to the streets of Chicago during that unforgettable summer.
The screening of Chicago 10 is followed by an open discussion led by Kristen Foster, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of History with specialties in early American history and American cultural/intellectual history. She also taught a senior seminar on the Revolution(s) of the Sixties in the United States, focusing a good deal of time on the 1968 convention in Chicago.
